I specialize in Downtown San Diego and North County including Carmel Valley, Sorrento Hills, Del Mar, Solana Beach, Cardiff by the Sea, Encinitas, La Costa Valley, and Carlsbad.  But, I go where ever my clients take me.

My business is based upon personal relationships, referrals, and word of mouth marketing.  My intent is to make your real estate experience, buying or selling, a good one.  This happens with good communication, trust, some bravery, and mutual respect.

I am a former Silicon Valley high technology veteran with an educational background that includes a BS in Engineering from Cal Poly SLO, and an MBA from the University of Santa Clara.  2 of the finest schools in the country (boy those were good days).  My wife of 38 years worked on Campus during the Cal Poly days, and I did the MBA at night while working full time as an engineer.

Today, I am a licensed Realtor and member of the North San Diego County Association of Realtors.  I completed  additional education to achieve the GRI (Graduate Realtor Institute) designation.  I am also a Certified Residential Real Estate Appraiser by the State of California with many hours of appraisal experience and continuing education to match.  http://www.AppraisalMachine.net

My wife and I met at Buena High School in Ventura, I was born in Santa Barbara.  Today we live near the ocean in Cardiff and our youngest of 3 is a La Costa Canyon High School graduate and Sophmore at Santa Barbara City College.

1) Knowledge of San Diego Real Estate.  I have appraised hundreds of homes in San Diego County.  My appraisal experience has ingrained a methodology to observe and evaluate the features of a property that determine value.  I see more properties per week, and I stay in contact with the market.

2) Expert at Estimating Market Value.  Other agents rely on software applications to create CMAs and typically do not make adjustments.  I can properly use the Principal of Substitution, Sales Comparison Analysis, and develop a more accurate estimate of value.

3) Negotiation experience.  I have successfully negotiated multi-million dollar contracts with tough high tech Purchasing Managers. I have a history of working well with other agents.
